Pad Thai Noodles

"Pad Thai Noodles," I decided.
"Thats what I'd like too."
I had offered to buy her lunch,
Why she accepted, I've no clue.

"I am Thai," she blurted
"But how can that be?"
Her blue eyes, blonde skin
She reckoned, "A tourist sired me."

I coughed. The Pad Thai stung.
I felt like a noodle. Senile.
She winked, "Its curious at first
But you'll love it after a while."

I tried to swallow the sudden spice
Her hands worked up her hair
She whispered, "Honey, twenty dollars,
And we both be swell out there."

I looked out of the window, a houseboat
Minutes later sounds choked her throat
The boat creaked and swayed and shouted
My tip was larger than the price touted.

As I scraped titbits off my plate
Her nudge brought me back to sense.
"What were you thinking, " she asked,
I smiled, "Oh! Just some work nonsense."

thai on houseboat
By atrakasya on Fri, 2006-04-14 10:50

At the end of it - its just another way to a man’s heart, hm?
What I am curious about is - does the houseboat sway if one eats too vigorously, and does the periodicity of the houseboat’s motion help the pleasure of eating, or disrupt it?

Thai hot
By Vivek on Fri, 2006-04-14 13:33

They say thai hot is the hottest of them all.
I mean the Green Chilli.
Chill, there is no metaphor here. ;)

The boat sways with period three
(To figure, pick a book on nonlinearity)
The food is expensive, but aharmonicity free.* :)

To have anything mentioned in poem
Buy yourself mushrooms of imagination
Eat them to rabbit-hop into realms of ecstasy.** ;)

*Chaos by Gleick is fun read
**Alice in wonderland is great place to start.

For Pad Thai Noodles, visit Georgia Tech, go to Tech Square and eat at Tindrum. Ask me to join you for company. (If interested in houseboats only, go to Kashmir or Amsterdam :) !)

Of course....

I asked my friend (sudarpunsey) to suggest me an unpoetic topic... after few minutes of deep thought, his idea was "chick". I asked him to think harder. Of course, the second thing on his mind after chicks is Food, and so his suggested topic was Pad Thai Noodles... But your inspiration (or contribution) ended at suggesting a topic.... even in my or your wildest dreams, you won't have a houseboat escapade:P
