A cup of tea X (Spill bee returns)

A day before my wife left for her parents’ house
Spill bee visited us for tea, scurrying her spouse
For wife’s to be confined, as per God’s will
(As if, procreation in India, requires no human skill).

Spill bee’s mouse knows nothing of our past
And sips tea with his back in humpy arch
They both, only recently, moved to our city
Life’s such a bitch, I thought, inadvertently.

One night, I heard the doorbell ringing, ran to the door
The spill bee had arrived, and it was only four
At four in the morning, she demanded a cup of tea
And whispered she had to tell me something urgently.

In shock and awe, I put the kettle on the stove
It was scandalous, she was drunk and she drove
While I fumbled with cups, sieve and stirring
She cooed how my snubbing, she was still regretting.

I handed her the cup, she kissed it, and held it close
And quite purposely, spilled it on her clothes
In panicky, quick moment her burns were doused
And the red bruises on her belly redder blushes aroused.

I promise, I had only planned to touch her bruise
I know, for what followed, it is only a lame excuse
But even though I suffer from the pangs of infidelity
I often meet her now, for special cups of tea!

Some men commit infidelity over innocent cups of tea and others get brand new cherry red sports cars;)

Sakshi: ur comment (before and after edit) is a mystery to me. What is this SIFs, SIFish, etc? Riddles, like these, are not my cup of tea:)

Aaman: Quick quips: 1) The ads on the top of the post make it hard to read the poem (poem needs to have the lines arranged as they were typed to be). The ad is pushing sentences of the poem into a pattern which is not pleasant aesthetically:)

2) Sometimes clicking on a url below the commenters does not lead us anywhere. Also clicking on Culture:Poetry does not show any posts (though I guess it should show all posts in that category)

"I often meet her now, for special cups of tea!"

- Mostly a dreamer uncle, auntie can also have the right for the dream..
- At what cost you get the tea.. unanswered?
- Any time anutie can come back and that time SIFISH or BIFISH, two option you will be having.

All the dreamer till the time auntie does not come to home.. after that ....you all know better!!

I still have almost disappearing rasam burn on my face becuase the salt was too little from my normal preparation of it.

Be carefull when you prepare Tea because hot tea also leaves scars.

On the other hand Hot kachrya's , stir dry vegetables or even sambar are less harmfull when thrown on the face

I suggest that for morning you prepare Sambhar instead do TEA. I know it is not good to begin Day with Sambhar but atleast is safer and more gentle on the skin.

From now begin your morning day with Sambhar. It is safer though not as fresh Tea
