khaali samay mein kab kavita kahi maine

khaali samay mein kab kavita kahi maine
tanhai aur fursat shayar dhoonda karte hai
main kavi hun - kalidas, tulsi, dinkar dharam ka
likhta hun, pratidin parishram bhi karta hun
ullaas ki stuti bhi, dard ki anubhuti bhi

a loose translation

Where was the free time to compose verses-
to search for solitude or mood like bards?
I am a poet. My duty, my spirit is of Kalidas, Tulsidas, Dinkar.
I write, I toil, I struggle, I labor each day.
I invoke joys as I evoke sorrows.
I am like a Yogi, my spirituality is of Vyaas and Bachchan.

You labour each day... you get inspired...you try to find the time to write....and yet, you're a poet for just a second, a few treasured moments in time. Just like Kalidas, Bachchan.

I refer to 'Main pal do pal ka shaayar hoon' by Sahir Ludhianvi.
