She was a spring blossom
In the sweet sunshine of
Her youth, till she heard
Hiz buzz that broke the
Silence of her soft solitude
As he danced around in delight
On finding the sweet nectar
Of her essence that he could
Draw his own life from!
She is a fall flower now
Withering in the cold current of
Her old age, left to die
She has lost her nectar to
His domination and thirst
And lost her value, her charm
To him and her other admirers
Who are all dancing elsewhere!
She is just a soul, a seed now
Sunk in the dark soil somewhere
Carried away the distance by his
Promiscous, pestilent lifestyle
By nature, he knows only to take
To trample, to triumph, to tarnish
He has the wings, the power, the passion
To feed! Ah! He must make her bleed!

Oh! What does he know?
What does he know?
Everything that buzzes,
Too has to die one day,
Like illusions of his power,
And his perpetual passions to suck her( and many like hers) nectar,
He was supposed to take nectar
To survive and not to play,
Yet he crossed his limits
And made her into a flay,
And revelled in doing so
And for others too,
And got clogged and mystified
In his own illusory creations.
Aaah! What a punishment self-imposed?
Ah! What a self-strangling attitude?
For one who has wings to fly
Yet locked up like flower on stalk
Did he become numb and lost sense to fly?
Did her nectar, stalked him to die?
Yet he retained his illusions
Of false sense of power,
To have destroyed her.
Ah! What a blindness in his eyes?
Ah! What a weakness on his wings?
Neither can he get out of it
Nor can he break it
Too weak to break his self-created illusions!
Too old to let go off his pride!
Too prideful to accept his faults!
Too blind to see that seed had now blossomed into a pine tree!
And is creator's best creation
That can stand ovenish heats of Sahara !
And crackling winters of Siberia!
Oh! What does he know ?
Oh! What does he know?
He thinks he is God
He creates illusions and himself is duped by them!
He punishes others and himself and lives in fires of hell.
He thinks he can bleed her with his passions once again! Huh!
If he can wipe a drop of sweat of guilt on his face and
Tears of guilt flowing from his heart when he sees her,
He can aspire to go in fornt of her.
Can he atleast aspire to see that pine tree?
Before he leaves this World!
And ask her to forgive!
She might have forgotten such stingy beess, in mists of time,
In 4600 Spring blossoms,
What is one bee for her?
Even if she recognises him,
If he tried hard to remind her,
She might smile and say!
"It is allright sweetie!
Aspire yourself to be born as tree"

To stop her rise ever again,
Yet he thought,
It was his personal gain!
Ah! What a blindness in his eyes?

Neither can he get out of it !
Nor can he aim to get over it!
Who must tell him?
He lost sense of flight!
Not able to recover
From self created plight!
Too weak
To break his own informed illusions!
Too prideful
To wash off his knowledgeble sensations!
Too old
To leave his habitual pertrubations!
Too blind
To sense :
That seed had by then,
Blossomed into a pine tree!
And is Creator's best creation
With ability to stand
Ovenish heats of Sahara !
Crackling winters of Siberia!
Oh! What does he know ?
Oh! What does he know?
He creates illusions
And himself is duped in by them!
He punishes others And himself
And revels in silent fires
Of questions pertaining to"What then?".
He thinks, he can make her bleed,
Tarnish And Triumph with equal speed!
He thinks he can go back in time,
And repeat his acts not worth even a dime!
If he can wipe a drop
Of sweat from his brow!
If he can stop tears
Of guilt that flow!
To cleanse his heart
When he sees her,
Aiming just once,
To atleast
Smell her!
Can he aspire to even know
What has become of that flower?
If he comes to know
May be he will shiver!
Why does he want to know her?
Before he leaves this World!
And ask her to forgive!
If the repentance is not too old!
She must have forgotten
Many such stingy beess,
In mists of time,
That flowed through,
In 4600 Springs time,
What is one bee for her?
Many have tried to sting her?
Even if she recognises him,
Through his hunger so plain,
Along With the winds that rhyme
Making her smile and sway!
which caresses her in no time,
It appears she has her own way!
It sounds as though
It was all fairness of play
As though she wants to say:
"If you want to have your way
You Must Repent and Pray"!
lol dude...are u one of those silent 'nice guy' friends all girls seem to have?? :-))
Pinus:) What was that:)?
Buck: You are partially right! But I guess the next few poems will break this line of thought!:)!
Sunshine: is that ur fav flavor:P!?
Hi Vivek...I see quite a bit of hijacking on ur blogs these days ;)
altho I can see the buzzing bee, spring flower picture..and that
itself doesn't seem so disturbing, when I look into the deeper meaning of things, since u've titled ur blog love stories of ur friends.....I can't help but wonder why u portray ur female protagonist as so naive, mistrusting and wanting....something seems so incomplete somewhere....
but maybe I'm just seeing too much...or too little....or maybe ahead of time itself :) hope u complete the missing connection....and do keep writing, u are a natural with poetry!
that said, my favourite still is 'She's just a rumour' :)
enig!

Thanks vi!! I went back and heard this song from Do Raaste again, and the word which always had sounded Fiza, suddenly became Khiza:):) I must have heard this song so many times, but for some reason always heard fiza:)!!!
Gosh I had been hearing it wrong for over 13-14 years! (Maybe the song always moved me so much that I didn't notice:)!!))

and "Fiza ke phool pe aati kabhi bahaar nahin" for latter ones;)!
Vivek I think it is "khiza ke phool..."
khiza meaning "Fall" season

saw Waqt (race against...), Kabhie Kabhie, and Interpreter!!!
This story is though apt with songs like "Bhaware ki gunjan" or "Bhawara bada naadaan hai" in first stanza, and "Fiza ke phool pe aati kabhi bahaar nahin" for latter ones;)!
